Monroe County Radio Project

The Monroe County Radio Project, a partnership between the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism and Monroe County (W.Va.) Schools, began in June 2006 to create regular news programming at WHFI-FM, a radio station licensed to the Monroe County School Board. School of Journalism students and faculty have provided training to Monroe County students and adult volunteers on reporting and producing local news stories for a 15-minute daily newscast, monthly public affairs programming and a website with news and streaming audio.
