Kristen Wilkerson
Dr. Kristen Wilkerson serves as the curriculum director for the P.I. Reed School of Journalism’s online master’s degree program in integrated marketing communications (IMC) as well as the recently launched certificate program in digital marketing communications (DMC). Wilkerson’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the graduate curriculum for both programs remains fresh, rigorous and innovative. She has developed courses in a number of areas including creative
strategy and viral marketing.

Wilkerson earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising/public relations and a master’s degree in advertising/public relations from the University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches the IMC program’s capstone course—IMC Campaigns.

Prior to earning her graduate degrees, Wilkerson co-founded Thompson/Earnhart + Associates—a multi-million dollar advertising agency in Northwest Arkansas—which has since been acquired by Saatchi & Saatchi. She spent five years with the agency before leaving the
agency business for graduate school.
